Hey I'm Mya, and last year I started building my online business!
In 2021 I went to uni to do specialist hair and media makeup, working on tv/film sets has always been a passion of mine. As a freelancer, I knew it was going to be tricky and not the most stable career path but when I left uni I realised just how difficult it actually was to find work in that industry.
And so I fell into hospitality and got stuck. Working 2 jobs while trying to do hair and makeup jobs where I could and it was leaving me burnt out, unhappy and I honestly didn’t know what to do anymore. I felt hopeless and I feared I was going to be stuck in this position forever.
I came across this online business and it really resonated with me. Even though it was something I'd never done before I knew that this was my light at the end of the tunnel. I knew that if I didn’t take the leap I was going to stay miserable.
I can confidently say that taking the leap and investing in this business has been one of the best decision I've ever made. I feel like I have purpose again, I’ve worked on my first big film production without work getting in the way, I've made some amazing friends and I'm so much more confident as a person because I'm in control of my future.
I want to help other ambitious individuals realise that there is so much more to life than the system we’ve been taught.
